Cheal has been specialising in Land Development since 1940. We are a multi-disciplinary organisation with 6 offices across the Central North Island offering Civil, Engineering, Surveying, and Resource Management Planning.  With business growth an important factor in our strategic direction, we seek a Junior / Intermediate Planner who is ready to progress their career to the next level to join our team in the beautiful town of Taupō.

This permanent position is well suited to an individual starting out or someone already established who needs a change of scene. Come work in a team of highly knowledgeable and successful Planning professionals who undertake a wide variety of planning work.

If you can display the following traits, we would love to hear from you:

  • A Degree in Environmental Planning or similar
  • 2+ years’ experience within the New Zealand planning environment
  • Solid experience within the regional council consenting space a real bonus
  • Writes clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
  • Converses effectively and professionally in a variety of settings: on the phone, one on one, in small and large groups
  • A highly proactive work ethic and the desire to exceed client expectations
